Carole Hewison

Project Director

I am Project Director of a number of exciting child safety initiatives delivered throughout the region in educational settings, community settings and in corporate settings. My main role is the delivery of our "professional training for professional people" programme across health, local government and education departments.

Mark Hewison

Education Co-ordinator

As well as being the initial point of contact for anyone approaching the project, my role is to raise awareness of the Whoops! project into local educational establishments. I deliver child safety initiatives to key stage 2 children and work with partners across the region, building capacity to ensure every child matters. Safety initiatives include: personal safety, risky play, water safety, bullying - buddying, building site safety, rail safety, firework safety.... to include a few!

Ashley Maw

Community and Training Co-ordinator

My role is to deliver our bespoke training programmes in the community. Working with both parents/carers and professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. I use a wide range of resources to deliver training in home safety, burns and scalds prevention, toy safety, water safety and poisoning, child safety basics and paediatric first aid. It will be me that you see if you pop into one of the Whoops! baby and child lifesaving clinics too. The list goes on ... I also co-ordinate the training needs and demands of the project so I am always kept busy.

Nigel Merryweather

Project Development Manager

As the most recent member of the team, my role is to look at the range of Training and Initiatives we currently have to offer, explore partnerships with like minded organisations and corporate companies and to deliver our Anti Social Behaviour Initiative "Who do you think you are?". Working with the team, I aim to help ensure that the training and professional development we offer is up-to-date, relevant and invaluable, as well as ensuring our interventions in Schools and the Community have the maximum impact in reaching 'Our Vision'.
